Glenn Dale Tire & Auto is hiring a Tire Technician. We're an independent shop on Annapolis Road, and this is a tire-only position with no mechanical or repair work. Experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person who shows up on time and cares about doing the job right. Se habla español.
What you'll do
- Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires and wheels, including patches and plugs
- Inspect tires and wheels, and tell the service writer what needs attention
- Service TPMS sensors and check tire pressure
- Handle tire storage and stock as needed
- Explain tire work clearly to customers when asked
- Keep your bay and equipment clean, and follow shop safety rules
What we're looking for
- Tire shop experience preferred, but not required. We'll train you.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. and work on your feet in a physically demanding job
- Dependable, on time, and careful with customers' vehicles
- Valid driver's license
- Team player who learns quickly
What we offer
- Pay: $45,000–$105,000 per year, based on experience and certifications
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Hands-on tire training and room to build your skills and certifications

Automotive Technician Wanted

Glenn Dale Tire & Auto is hiring an experienced Automotive Technician. We're an independent shop on Annapolis Road, and we need a seasoned technician who can handle almost anything that rolls into the bay, short of advanced electrical work. If you know your tools, run accurate diagnostics, and take pride in doing the job right the first time, we want to hear from you. Se habla español.
What you'll do
- Diagnose and repair brakes, steering and suspension, engine, cooling, exhaust, and climate control systems
- Service and repair drivetrain components, including axles, CV joints, and four-wheel-drive systems
- Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to find problems accurately, and tell the service writer what you find
- Handle routine maintenance, including oil and filter changes, belts and hoses, and vehicle inspections
- Handle basic electrical work, such as batteries and starting and charging systems. Advanced electrical diagnostics are not part of this position.

What we're looking for
- Extensive hands-on automotive repair experience required
- Your own professional tools, including a full set of hand tools and a diagnostic scan tool
- Able to diagnose problems accurately and work with little supervision
- ASE and EPA 609 certifications preferred
- Able to lift 50 lbs. and work on your feet in a physically demanding job
- Dependable, on time, and careful with customers' vehicles
- Valid driver's license
